AUSTRALIAN TEXAN HARDCORE

Formed in September 2025 by vocalist Tristan Hogan and guitarist Michael Brooker, Bad News blends aggressive Australian vocals with brutal Texan riffs, rounded out with drums that would make Joey Jordisons jaw drop, Bad News has a raw aggressive energy that can’t be topped. 

In just over a year Bad News has made its mark on the Austin hardcore scenes, playing iconic venues like The Far Out Lounge, Hotel Vegas, Come and Take It Live!, Chess Club as well as more DIY shows across the city than you could count, playing alongside legendary local bands such as Bailout, Gutwrench, Beyond Reach, Soul Exchange and Slow Pulse to name a few!
